Katie's Burrito Mission

Because I love burritos that much!

Exquisite

£8.45 for a burrito? You must think I’m insane to be paying that!

Except that that covers two burritos on a bed of lettuce with heaps of sour cream and a sweet-yet-spicy tasting salsa on top at Exquisite on Blackstock Road. Unfortunately the dish does not include rice, but the vegetarian and the artichoke burritos I ordered were impressively filling. A fresh-tasting guacamole did come on the side, but for £1 more.

Stuffed inside these two baked burritos (yes, baked, which gave them a whole new texture as though fit for a dinner main) were plenty of veg- friendly fillings that seemed to meld between the two as I dug in with fork and knife:
jalepenos, tomatoes, kidney beans, chickpeas, black olives, peppers, onion, mushroom, artichoke, garlic, green beans, carrots, baby corn… It was a vegetarian’s five-a-day heaven!

LIKES: I got to take the half I couldn’t finish home – and it even tasted delicious the next afternoon.

DISLIKES: would have liked more artichokes in the artichoke burrito, and maybe some rice.

SUGGESTIONS: you need the guac, tastes freshly made and is the perfect addition to this meal.

RATING: hot! Totally digging the baked burrito concept and totally makes it a unique burrito experience.
